EA No. 1 On Facebook!

Posted by on 09 20th, 2011

EA’s been really working hard, don’t you think? They have a lot of truly creative minds on their team to be able to come up with different games made for different markets and gamers – where all of them are top of the line. This hard work would in turn pay up eventually – and that time is right now.
EA is known for different games that could be played on different consoles, but they have invaded internet gaming as well, this time, the popular social networking site, Facebook. If you’re a Facebook user, then you might be familiar with different Facebook games like Pet Society, Farmville, and Poker, just to name a few. There’s a game for everyone, for every user, at any age, with any taste.
The games are most definitely one of the reasons how Facebook became popular. Addicting, never-ending games, focused on game play, new challenges, and adding up friends as team mates are the secret to a successful Facebook game.

The Sims Social

Playfish, one of the biggest game developers in Facebook, has already been bought by EA, but EA reign over Facebook doesn’t end there. They have just recently launched the Facebook version of their most popular game to date – The Sims.
Who doesn’t love the Sims? Being able to control the minds of your character, whether or not it’s for the best or worst of him is fun, right? Now, EA has taken this same game, and carefully developed it into the Facebook world of gaming: The Sims Social.
The Sims Social
Today, the leading Facebook game, is Cityville by the private company Zynga – which is also well known for creating addicting games on Facebook. It is predicted that Sims Social would top Cityville anytime soon.
In any case, users win as different game developers compete to produce the most addicting game on Facebook; Zuckerberg also wins as more addicting games invite more profit; and finally, different companies also win because they also take advantage of the opportunity to advertise using the different games on Facebook. More fun is equal to more users, which is equal to more money both for Facebook and the different companies that advertise on Facebook.
