‘Angry Birds’ hit Facebook

(CNN) – The addicting app Angry Birds is set to launch on Facebook in time for Valentine’s Day.

The developer behind the popular game said it would be coming to the social media site Feb. 14.

For those not familiar with it, the object is to fling different types of the frustrated and feathered creatures into structures to crush the enemy green pigs.

The game is planned as a free add-on, but reports stated the developers would offer special types of birds for 99 cents.

Facebook has 800 million users worldwide, and games like Farmville and Bejeweled have been played by millions.

Popular iPhone apps like Words with Friends let users bring their mobile gaming results online as well.
